Position Overview: The President of the Board of Directors for the Woodcreek SeaWolves serves as the primary leader and representative of the swim team’s governing body. This role is responsible for ensuring that the team operates in alignment with its mission, values, and long-term goals. The President is accountable for guiding the strategic direction of the organization, overseeing the Board’s activities, and fostering positive relationships between the Board, coaching staff, swimmers, and the community. The President will work closely with other Board members, coaches, parents, and volunteers to ensure that the swim team maintains its focus on athlete development, community engagement, and operational excellence. 

This position requires strong leadership skills, the ability to motivate and unify a diverse group of stakeholders, and a commitment to the long-term sustainability of the team.

Position Overview: The Vice President of the Board of Directors for the Woodcreek SeaWolves is a leadership role within the governing body of the team, supporting the President and working closely with other Board members to ensure the smooth operation, growth, and success of the recreational swim team. This individual will assist in strategic planning, help drive key initiatives, and ensure that the team’s mission, values, and long-term goals are upheld. In the absence of the President, the Vice President will assume the President’s responsibilities and ensure continuity in the team’s leadership. 

The Vice President will work collaboratively with the President, other Board members, coaches, and volunteers to create a positive environment for swimmers and their families. This position requires strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills, as well as a passion for supporting the team’s athletes and broader community.

Position Overview: The League Representative serves as the primary liaison between the Woodcreek SeaWolves and the governing swim league(s) in which the team participates. This volunteer position on the Board of Directors is responsible for ensuring that the team complies with league rules, regulations, and requirements, as well as facilitating communication and coordination between the team and league officials. The League Representative plays a key role in representing the team’s interests at league meetings, handling registration and scheduling for league events, and ensuring that the team’s activities align with league policies. 

This position is ideal for someone with strong communication and organizational skills who is passionate about youth sports, team advocacy, and ensuring that the team remains in good standing with the league.

Position Overview: The Secretary of the Board of Directors for the Woodcreek SeaWolves plays an essential role in the governance and administrative functions of the recreational swim team. This volunteer position is responsible for ensuring that the team’s Board meetings and activities are well-organized, that accurate records are maintained, and that the team’s communications and documentation are effectively managed. The Secretary will work closely with the Board, President, and other team leaders to support the smooth operation of the team and ensure transparency in Board actions and decisions.

Position Overview: The Financial Officer is a key leadership position on the Board of Directors for the Woodcreek SeaWolves, a recreational swim team dedicated to promoting the development and enjoyment of swimming in a positive, inclusive environment. The Financial Officer is responsible for overseeing the financial health of the team, managing financial resources, and ensuring that the team operates within its budget and financial guidelines. This role provides strategic financial direction and ensures that the team’s financial practices are transparent, sustainable, and in alignment with the organization’s goals. 

The Financial Officer will work closely with the Board, coaches, and administrative staff to ensure proper financial planning, reporting, and compliance with regulations. This is a volunteer position, but it plays a critical role in the long-term success and sustainability of the swim team.

Position Overview: The Webmaster of the Board of Directors for the Woodcreek SeaWolves plays a critical role in maintaining and managing the swim team's online presence, ensuring that information is accessible, up-to- date, and reflective of the team’s mission and activities. This volunteer position is responsible for overseeing the team’s website, ensuring it is user-friendly, informative, and serves as an effective tool for communication with swimmers, families, sponsors, and the broader community. 

The Webmaster will collaborate with other Board members, coaches, and administrative staff to ensure that the website supports the team’s overall strategic goals and enhances its ability to connect with its audience. This is a great opportunity for someone with a technical background, creative flair, and a passion for helping the team succeed both online and offline.

Position Overview: The Coach Liaison is a vital position on the Board of Directors for the Woodcreek SeaWolves, a recreational swim team focused on fostering a positive, fun, and educational environment for swimmers of all ages and skill levels. The Coach Liaison acts as the primary communication link between the coaching staff and the Board of Directors, ensuring that the needs of the team and coaching staff are effectively communicated and that the team’s goals are aligned with the coaching strategies. 

The Coach Liaison plays a crucial role in supporting the head coach and assistant coaches, facilitating team operations, and ensuring that the recreational swim team is meeting its mission of promoting swimmer development, teamwork, and community engagement.

Position Overview: The Coaching Operations & Human Resources Director is a key leadership position on the Board of Directors for the Woodcreek SeaWolves, a recreational swim team committed to fostering the growth and development of swimmers in a positive, inclusive, and supportive environment. This volunteer role is responsible for overseeing all coaching-related operations and human resources functions within the team, ensuring that coaches are supported, policies are followed, and that the coaching staff is aligned with the team’s mission and objectives. The Coaching Operations & Human Resources Director will work closely with the Board, coaching staff, and other volunteers to ensure the team’s coaches are equipped to deliver high- quality programs. 

This position is critical to maintaining a positive working environment for coaches and promoting effective recruitment, training, and retention of high-performing coaching staff.

Position Overview: The Communications Officer serves as the primary communications and information coordinator for the Woodcreek SeaWolves. This volunteer Board position is responsible for ensuring clear, consistent, and timely communication between the Board of Directors, coaches, parents, and team members. In addition, the Communications Officer serves as the Team Registrar, overseeing swimmer registration, rosters, and related documentation to ensure compliance with league and organizational requirements. This role is essential to the smooth operation, transparency, and engagement of the team.

Position Overview: The Member at Large provides broad perspective and flexible support to the Board of Directors, representing the interests of the membership while leading social initiatives and supporting fundraising.

• Be proactive in creating a fun and safe environment for swimmers, parents, coaches and other teams.
• Recruit volunteers to assist in organizing and running fundraising events and soliciting corporate donations.

• Organize the Swim-a-thon fundraiser:
• Obtain donations from area businesses. This can include products/services for a raffle, items to sell at the snack bar or Wolf Wear Boutique, or sponsorships.
• Attend monthly Parent Board meetings to report progress and provide input and on various items during board meetings.
• Position satisfies annual family volunteer requirement.
