MOC updates from Coach Sergio

For the relay families that may not have received this email, here is the information you'll need for this weekend:

Hello Moc Families,

This will be the last email I'll be sending before this weekend, attached are the Meet sheet, Cheat Sheet, Timeline, Psych sheet to look at.

Remember that this will be the same format as champ meaning that there will be prelims and then finals ( view info Cheat Sheet & Timeline if your only Relay Swimmers)

Since this is a Champs meet there won't be a team tent or a team parent instead swimmers can check with coaches when arriving. Parents and athletes can set up where they want to I would like the team to keep together as much as we can to help each other out.

If you have question we'll have a run down at tonight practice

Thank you and see you all later today

Coach Sergio

MOC Families - Please read!

First of all - congratulations on your kid(s) making it to MOC!  This meet is hosted by the league and not our team so we are not facilitating signups/registration and the volunteering roles.

Meet of Champions will be held on the weekend of July 30-31 hosted in Elk Grove at their new Aquatics Center.  Registration and volunteer shifts are now open!  The format will be exactly like Champs.  (Note: The 6 & Under group is only swimming on Saturday.)  Saturday will be the events of IM, short free and backstroke.  After the prelims, the top 10 plus 2 alternates will be selected for the finals in that event and will be held after the break. Then after finals, the 6 & Under awards will take place and then the medley relays will be held.  Sunday will be a rinse and repeat except the events will be long free, breaststroke and butterfly.  After the prelims, the top 10 plus 2 alternates will be selected for the finals in that event and will be held after the break. Then after finals, the teams will move on to the free relays.  And then the awards will be given out.

Please visit the MOC webpage to both register your swimmer(s) and sign up for volunteer shifts:   https://www.teamunify.com/Home.jsp?team=moc

If you have any questions about this process, please email Coach Sergio at headcoach@woodcreekseawolves.com.  He can pull the appropriate resources to help as needed.

Best of luck to you, stay hydrated and swim fast!!

Reminders for the week of 7/18/22

No practice on Monday July 18th!  Please get some rest after our long Champs weekend!

Tuesday July 19th is both the Family BBQ & Awards and Swim Night!  We'll start the BBQ and Awards ceremony in Mahany Park (feels like Deja-vu, right?) at 5pm and then around 7:00 - 7:30pm we'll be allowed into the RAC for family swim night!  If you are attending, please RSVP here so we can get a head count and you can sign up to bring an item to the BBQ!

Starting Tuesday - the MOC qualifiers will begin their practice on an adjusted schedule.  Coach Sergio emailed this information out last week and the website is updated with that information on the Parent Info/Practice tab.

For many SeaWolves, this Tuesday will mark the end of the season and so we hope to see you at the festivities and enjoy the rest of your summer break before we return back to school in just a few short weeks!  Our swimmers, our coaches and our parents did a stellar job all season long to make this year one for the record books (literally).

End of season contacts:

As we wind down the season, if you have any questions or concerns, please contact the following people:
