Seawolves Buddy Program
Hello Seawolves Families!
We’re excited to introduce our Buddy Program for this season! The program is designed to build connections across age groups, help our younger swimmers feel more confident, and give our older swimmers an opportunity to step into leadership roles in a fun and meaningful way.
How it works -
Older swimmers will be paired with one or two younger swimmers for the season. Buddies will connect at practice, cheer each other on at meets, and participate in fun team building activities to help create a supportive, spirited environment!
What participation looks like -
This is meant to be a positive and low-pressure experience, but we do ask for a small level of commitment from participating families. Buddies will be encouraged to:
- Introduce themselves and build a connection early in the season
- Spend a few minutes together during select practices or meets
- Cheer for and support each other during races
- Participate in simple weekly activities like writing a special encouraging note before a meet, taking buddy photos, or giving practice pep-talks.
There will of course also be opportunities to make it extra special (small treats, fun spirit days, or buddy practices), but nothing will be required beyond time and engagement.
Important note before opting in -
To make this program successful, we ask that you only sign your swimmer(s) up if they are excited to participate and able to commit to engaging with their buddy throughout the season. Even small interactions can have a big impact, especially for our younger swimmers who look forward to this connection.
If your swimmer has a full schedule or may not be able to consistently participate, we completely understand. There is no obligation to join.

Please respond by the end of day Friday, May 8th. We will announce buddy pairings via e-mail over the weekend, and host a buddy meet and greet on Tuesday the 12th during practice from 5:15 - 5:45.
We’re looking forward to building strong connections across age groups and creating a fun, supportive environment for all swimmers this season!
Please feel free to reach out with any questions.
